In light of the challenges brought by COVID-19, we’d like to provide as much help as possible as you navigate this new way of doing business. We know many organizations are struggling to adapt to remote work, and many have suffered financially as well.
But that doesn’t mean employee engagement and human capital management should suffer.
In fact, remote workers actually tend to be more engaged than traditional workers. Research from ADP found that 29% of virtual workers were Fully Engaged compared to 18% who work in an office.
We think the best way to support businesses through this time is to highlight some key Bullseye features that facilitate engagement and communication in remote work.
Our team is also offering to provide our Check-in, Social Collaboration, and Pulse Survey modules to your company for 90 days at no cost.*
Here’s how Bullseye can keep your remote workforce connected and engaged:
Use check-ins to stay connected
Since conversations can’t happen organically in the office, consider adding more frequent check-ins with your team. Many clients only scratch the surface of the possible uses for our Check-In feature.
Here are some ways you can use check-ins to keep employees engaged:
- Performance check-ins
- Training progress updates
- Talent development plans
- Corrective action plan
- Ad-hoc and scheduled check-ins
- Daily “touch base” communication
- 30-, 60-, and 90-day stay check-ins
- Project updates
- Action plans
Leaders can schedule check-ins with employees or initiate them ad-hoc to keep employee development on track from anywhere. Employees can also initiate check-ins as needed.
The system documents these interactions so employees, managers, mentors, coaches, and HR administrators can refer back to them any time.
Make social isolation feel a little more… social
Users can post updates with the My Wall feature about projects in a fun, engaging way. The system also includes messaging and the ability for approved users to send email blasts.
Coupled with push notifications, these features can help make social isolation feel a little more…social.
Quickly check the pulse of your organization with surveys
Leaders can quickly check the pulse of employees, solicit real-time feedback from meeting attendees, or design their own comprehensive surveys. Once they’re complete, leadership can view intuitive snapshots of survey results using robust analytics displayed in dashboards.
Some additional advice
While we aren’t in the business of keeping employees healthy, we do have some recommendations for maintaining a positive employee experience while your company is dispersed.
Establish guidelines for working remotely
How often should employees check-in? Does everyone have a clear understanding of their work priorities during this time? This article from SHRM may be useful when defining priorities.
Overcommunicate
Messages easily get lost or confused when workers are dispersed. Sending regular messages and emails may seem like overkill, but documenting everything helps make work shareable and keeps projects on track.
Provide Resources
Check with employees to see if they need any resources to make them more effective while working from home. If your organization has devices or office supplies available, be sure to let your workers know.
And of course, continue to check the CDC Coronavirus page for new information, and visit their Resources for Businesses and Employers page for additional recommendations.
We’re happy to help.
